One app, two hats
Tavvi has a business side (your register, orders, money, settings) and a consumer side (browsing, ordering from other businesses, your own rewards). Same account, same install, you're one switch away from either. This is a feature, not a bug: you get to experience exactly what your customers see, with your own store one tap away.
The switcher
Look for the small floating tab pinned to the edge of the screen, the Switcher. Its icon tells you where you ARE:
- A register icon means you're on the business side.
- A shopping bag means you're on the consumer side.
Tap it to expand, tap the label to open the switch panel, and pick the side (and, if you run several, the store) you want. The tab is draggable along the edge, park it where your thumb likes it. On the consumer side of a phone, the same switch also lives in the side rail's menu, so it's never more than a tap or two away.
Where it earns its keep
- See your own shop as a customer. The fastest quality check in the business: switch, open your page, and experience your prices, photos, and hours as a stranger would.
- Test your own flows. The "order from yourself" checks in the online-store and pickup guides all start with this switch.
- Buy your supplies from other Tavvi businesses without signing out of anything.
Keep the hats separate
Buying on the consumer side uses your personal payment method, and rewards you earn there are yours as a customer. Sales on the business side are your business's money. The app keeps these cleanly apart, the only mixing risk is in your head at 11 p.m., and the icon on the switcher is your anchor: bag = spending, register = earning.
If something's off
- You can't find the switcher. On some pages it hides on purpose (mid-checkout forms, for instance). Back out to a main screen and it's on the edge. On a phone's consumer side, check the side rail.
- You switched and your store "disappeared." You're on the consumer side, that's the marketplace view. Switch back and the register is exactly where you left it.
- You run two businesses and landed in the wrong one. The switch panel picks the business and store too, not just the side.
